Fun, well structured and very visual session for any adult or a kid who would love to build a closer relationship with their dog and to learn how to teach some tricks!

 

This introductory session will teach you EVERYTHING you need to start teaching your dog some great tricks! 

 

Very clear and easy to follow step by step instuctions with videos, practical advice, helpful troubleshooting tips and solutions to common challenges

Duration:  2.5 hours with over 20 training videos and demonstrations.

 

During the session we will cover:
1) Trick training and what is so special about it

 

2) Benefits of trick training, including practical sugegstions on using trick training to help your dog with reactivity, lack of confidence and some other behavioural problems. 

 

3) Choosing the tricks to match your dog’s personality, abilities and talent

 

4) Your practical tools for trick training:

- Motivating your dog with food, toys, praise, lifestyle rewards among others, including practical suggestions on how you can use both dry and raw food, wide range of toys etc. 

- Effective communication with your dog for trick training, including using clicker and verbal marker, pros and cons for each of the approaches.

- What to do if your dog “does not understand what you want”

- Verbal vs hand signals. What makes a good verbal cue?

- Shaping and luring as trick training approaches- pros and cons

- Breaking tricks into smaller steps for training

- Stages of teaching and learning a new trick

 

5) Let’s teach some tricks!

- Speak (Bark)

All tricks are covered with step by step videos with real dogs, tips and practical trouble shooting suggestions.  

All registered for the session will receive a personal link to the recording which you'll be able to refer to as many times as you'd like afterwards.
